Cloud Software Engineer

Job Description

ClickHouse is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer to join its Observability team. The ideal candidate will design, build, and operate distributed systems that power observability across ClickHouse Cloud. This role involves owning the reliability, performance, and cost-efficiency of the telemetry pipeline and storage systems.

• Designing, building, and operating distributed systems for observability.
• Owning reliability, performance, and cost-efficiency of telemetry systems.
• Participating in on-call rotation and driving root-cause resolution.
• Building tooling and automation to eliminate repetitive operational work.
• Collaborating with engineering teams to improve observability posture.
• Contributing to design discussions and mentoring teammates.

Requirements include:

• 5+ years of experience building and running production systems at scale.
• Proficiency in a systems-level language (Go, C++, Rust, Python, etc.).
• Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD, and Terraform or similar IaC tools.
• Comfort working with a major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Familiarity with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar tools.
• Experience with ClickHouse.
