Job Description

GoFundMe is seeking a Risk Analyst II to join their global operations team. This role is crucial in maintaining the safety and integrity of the GoFundMe platform, ensuring it remains a trusted space for online donations.Responsibilities:

• Providing high-quality email and phone support to ensure fundraiser authenticity.
• Evaluating fundraiser and account activity for unusual patterns and escalating risks.
• Conducting customer due diligence reviews, focusing on sanctions, PEPs, and financial crimes.
• Performing due diligence and KYB reviews on organizations to ensure compliance.
• Analyzing organizational governance, operations, and financial performance.
• Supporting crisis monitoring and assisting affected customers during global crises.
• Collaborating with various teams to ensure legitimate fundraisers and proper fund delivery.
• Fielding questions related to customer due diligence from various teams.
• Developing a deep understanding of risk-related issues on the platform.

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of experience in the payments or compliance industry.
• Knowledge of global customer due diligence, AML, CTF, sanctions, and KYC standards.
• Passion for staying current on regulatory changes and industry guidance.
• Ability to meet SLAs and maintain quality standards.
• Ability to work with ambiguity and adapt to changing priorities.
• Empathetic with a strong customer-centric mindset.
• Ability to work well with a distributed global workforce.
• Excellent attention to detail and a solution-oriented mindset.
• Strong communication skills with C1 English proficiency.
