Job Description

GoFundMe is seeking a Risk Analyst II to join their global operations. In this role, the individual will ensure GoFundMe remains a safe platform for online donations. The Risk, Compliance, and Platform Integrity team protects donors, fundraiser organizers, beneficiaries, and the company from financial crimes and abuse. The Risk Analyst II will be a member of the Risk Identity team.

The role involves:

  • Providing email and phone support to ensure fundraiser authenticity.
  • Evaluating fundraiser and account activity for unusual behavior.
  • Conducting customer due diligence reviews, focusing on sanctions and watchlist screening.
  • Performing due diligence and KYB reviews on organizations.
  • Supporting the Trust & Safety team during global crises.
  • Working cross-functionally with various teams to ensure legitimate fundraisers.
  • Fielding questions related to customer due diligence.
  • Developing a deep understanding of risk-related issues on the platform.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience in the payments or compliance industry.
  • Knowledge of global customer due diligence, AML, CTF, sanctions, and KYC standards.
  • Passion for staying current on regulatory changes and industry guidance.
  • Ability to meet individual metrics and maintain quality standards.
  • Ability to work with ambiguity and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Empathetic with a customer-centric mindset.
  • Ability to work well with a distributed global workforce.
  • Ambitious self-starter with excellent attention to detail.
  • Fast learner with initiative and follow-through.
