Job Description

GoFundMe is seeking a Risk Analyst II to join its global operations. In this role, the individual will maintain consistency while mastering new techniques and technologies to ensure GoFundMe remains a safe platform for online donations. The Risk, Compliance, and Platform Integrity team protects donors, fundraiser organizers, beneficiaries, and the company from financial crimes and abuse.

As part of the Risk Identity team, the Risk Analyst II will provide email support to ensure the authenticity of fundraisers, analyze fundraisers for fraud and money laundering, verify identities and KYC/B information, and enforce compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

The Role Involves:

  • Providing high-quality email and occasional phone support to customers.
  • Evaluating fundraiser and account attributes for unusual activity.
  • Conducting customer due diligence reviews.
  • Conducting due diligence and KYB reviews on organizations.
  • Supporting the Trust & Safety team during global crises.
  • Working cross-functionally with various teams.
  • Fielding questions related to customer due diligence.
  • Developing a deep understanding of risk-related issues.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience in the payments or compliance industry.
  • Knowledge of global customer due diligence, AML, CTF, sanctions, and KYC standards.
  • Passion for staying current on regulatory changes and industry guidance.
  • Excel in individual metrics and maintain strong quality standards.
  • Ability to work with ambiguity and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Empathetic with a strong customer-centric mindset.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.
