Hardware System Test Engineer

Job Description

A company is seeking a Hardware System Test Engineer to join their Product Test and Diagnosis team in Hsinchu City, Taiwan. This role focuses on high-performance computer system hardware testing and requires close collaboration with the hardware design team.

The Product Test and Diagnosis team is responsible for detecting and managing hardware defects throughout the product lifecycle, from manufacturing to field use.

Responsibilities include:

• Designing and developing test software for hardware testing.
• Conducting test coverage analysis and planning.
• Collaborating with Contract Manufacturing (CM) partners to deploy test solutions.
• Providing technical support to CM partners and creating standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Supporting failure analysis for reliability issues and field returns.
• Working cross-functionally with internal teams.
• Supporting manufacturing test solutions from New Product Introduction (NPI) through high-volume production.
• Collecting and analyzing test results for data-driven decisions.
• Root causing technical issues across hardware and software.

Requirements:

• Experience in manufacturing test of advanced electronic systems.
• Good understanding of electronics fundamentals.
• Experience with Python, C/C++, Bash, and Git.
• Experience using the Linux command line.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams.
• Ability to solve problems in complex electronic systems.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
