The company is seeking a Senior Board Manufacturing Test Engineer to join their Product Test and Diagnosis team in Hsinchu City, Taiwan. This role is crucial for delivering high-quality manufacturing test solutions for advanced technology products. The engineer will collaborate closely with the hardware design team and other members of the PTD team to define and develop appropriate test solutions, utilizing techniques such as boundary scan and embedded functional test.
The role involves:
Analysis of PCB design testability
Analysis of PCB design susceptibility to manufacturing defects
Definition and development of test solutions based on that analysis
Deployment and support of tests in factory and field environments
Requirements:
Experience in manufacturing test of advanced electronic systems
Thorough understanding of the fundamentals of electronics
Thorough understanding of SMT / PCB manufacturing processes and failure mechanisms
Thorough understanding of JTAG 1149 boundary scan test techniques
Experience in the local and remote use of test instruments (Oscilloscopes, DMM's, Clock generators, SMU's, PSU's, etc.)
Ability to work with internal teams such as software, silicon design and hardware design
Ability to work with external board test partners
Ability to solve problems in complex electronic systems
Good communication skills
