Job Description

Decathlon Digital is seeking a Junior Software Development Engineer for an apprenticeship role. This role involves working with Decathlon's sports brands to develop tools and methods for identifying, choosing, and co-developing the best products for athletes. The engineer will contribute to key functionalities and tools, working independently in an agile environment and being responsible for their product.

The Data Dictionary For Sports (DDfS) team aims to provide internal and external clients with the data needed to qualify and characterize products. The team consists of a Product Manager, Tech lead, a backend developer and three frontend developers. The team is product-oriented, autonomous, and responsible for the entire scope, from specifying needs to maintaining the solution in production.

Role Involves:

  • Contributing to software architecture and technical strategy.
  • Developing high-quality and efficient features.
  • Ensuring platform quality through documentation, testing, and code review.
  • Maintaining and monitoring developed components/applications.
  • Contributing to team efficiency through a DevOps approach.
  • Innovating to meet needs and exceed expectations.
  • Improving technological knowledge and environmental awareness.
  • Collaborating with product teams in an agile framework.

Requirements:

  • A first experience in a similar technical environment.
  • Strong technical aptitude and a desire to design things well.
  • A strong desire for teamwork, a culture of sharing, and a willingness to learn.
  • An interest in the impact of sport on personal and collective development.
  • A desire to join a company committed to Tech4Good and responsible innovation.
  • Knowledge of React and TypeScript is a plus.
