Senior Business Analyst (Capital Markets) - (Hybrid - Toronto)

Job Description

Capco is seeking a Senior Business Analyst with Capital Markets domain knowledge to join their team in Toronto. This role is a hybrid position, offering a mix of remote and on-site work. The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for defining and documenting new business and future state workflows using Visio. They will also gather, analyze, and validate detailed requirements for system implementation, collaborating with stakeholders to clarify and refine business needs. The ideal candidate will have experience with Securities Lending, with a focus on Fixed Income and equities repo/lending, as well as knowledge in customer protection, segregation processes, or clearing and settlement processes, especially related to Equities Repo.Role involves:

• Defining and documenting new business and future state workflows using Visio
• Gathering, analyzing, and validating detailed requirements for system implementation
• Collaborating with stakeholders to clarify and refine business needs
• Reviewing QE team’s test scenarios and providing feedback
• Managing project documentation and tracking using JIRA and Confluence
• Supporting operations team including segregation process - clearing, and settlements

Requirements:

• 5+ years of Business Analysis experience
• Ability to create Business Cases
• Experience with creation of EPICs, and writing of User Stories
• Independently leading sessions to gather information and requirements from key stakeholders
• Knowledge of process re-engineering
• Effective communicator
• Demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships with key stakeholders
• Track record of developing and bringing innovative solutions to problems
• Ability to work across other related roles, for example Product Owner, as required
• Senior BA Skillsets with Capital Markets domain knowledge
• Knowledge in Securities Lending, with a focus on Fixed Income and equities repo/lending
• Experience in customer protection, segregation processes or clearing and settlement processes, especially related to Equities Repo
• Hands-on experience with JIRA, Confluence and Visio
• Agile methodology experience
• Financial Industry experience
