The company is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with a focus on API solutions to join their team in Bangkok, Thailand. This role involves providing thought leadership in DevOps culture and principles, as well as assisting external clients with production rollouts. The ideal candidate will be capable of driving technical discussions, resolving complex technical issues, and working within an Agile framework. They should also possess a broad understanding of emerging technologies in finance and other industries, with a passion for experimenting to solve business challenges.
Role Involves:
Managing requirements and work activities with the API Lead.
Implementing the migration from Openshift to Azure AKS.
Managing and implementing API proxies using Apigee as an API Gateway solution.
Maintaining continuous integration for the project.
Supporting production rollouts.
Supporting the Development team with DevOps activities.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in DevOps.
Experience with an API Gateway solution (e.g., Kong, Apigee, Amazon API Gateway, Azure API Gateway).
Solid experience as a DevOps Engineer in a 24x7 uptime cloud-native environment, including automation with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
Expertise in the Software Development Lifecycle with both a Dev and Ops mindset.
Deep understanding of containerization and container orchestration concepts, including hands-on Docker experience.
Hands-on experience using scripting with Python, Groovy to build CI/CD pipelines on Jenkins, CircleCI, GoCD, Azure DevOps.
Appreciation of DevOps and Infrastructure as a Code concepts and techniques, including Terraform and CloudFormation.
Experience implementing DevOps solutions within a project or organization, ensuring compliance with standards and best practices.
Understanding of application and system monitoring tools with experience of auto-healing, autoscaling, and predictive monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana, NewRelic, DataDog).
Ability to analyze and resolve complex infrastructure resource and application deployment issues.
Experience with Agile software development and project management methodologies.
Experience administrating version control systems such as Git.
Windows and Linux system administration skills.
Banking domain experience is mandatory.
