Capco Poland is seeking a Senior Java Engineer with capital markets experience. The candidate will join a team of developers, providing technical direction and ensuring best practices in software development. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders to define technical requirements, designing, developing, and maintaining complex software applications using Java technologies.
The Senior Java Engineer will review and optimize code, stay updated on industry trends, and implement innovative solutions. They will also plan, prioritize, and manage development tasks, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and prepare technical documentation. The role includes developing and maintaining APIs, microservices, and enterprise-level applications, integrating third-party APIs, and implementing secure coding practices.

Responsibilities:- Providing technical direction and ensuring best practices in software development
- Collaborating with stakeholders to define technical requirements
- Designing, developing, and maintaining complex software applications using Java technologies
- Reviewing and optimizing code for performance, scalability and maintainability
- Staying updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to implement innovative solutions
- Planning, prioritizing and managing development tasks to meet deadlines
- Coordinating with cross-functional teams
- Preparing technical documentation and status reports
- Developing and maintaining APIs, microservices and enterprise-level applications
- Integrating third-party APIs, libraries and frameworks needed
- Implementing secure coding practices to safeguard application data
- Conducting code interviews, enforce coding standards, and ensure adherence to CI/CD practices
- Troubleshooting and resolving software defects and production issues promptly
- Ensuring applications meet performance benchmarks and security standards
Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience in Java development
- Experience in cloud services (AWS preferred)
- Experience with Message Bus technologies
- Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, version control (GIT) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience in GraphQL
- Experience with Redis
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Great problem-solving skills, flexible, open-minded with entrepreneurial mind set
- Bachelor/Master Degree in Computer Science or related topic
- Capital Markets experience
