Senior Accountant

Job Description

Affinidi, a technology company focused on data ownership, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team in Singapore. This role is pivotal in shaping the company's financial strategy and operations, reporting to the Finance Manager and collaborating with stakeholders across the business to ensure financial reporting, planning, and compliance excellence across global entities.Role involves:

• Supporting accounting and finance functions, including reporting, financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Liaising with external accounting vendors for smooth financial operations and timely month-end closings.
• Assisting in the preparation of internal and external financial reports.
• Reviewing historical performance, conducting variance analysis, and identifying key trends.
• Contributing to cash flow forecasting and budgeting.
• Overseeing expense claims and employee reimbursements.
• Ensuring tax filings and compliance with statutory regulations.
• Managing intercompany transactions and assisting with banking and treasury functions.
• Helping establish and reinforce internal controls.
• Overseeing accurate customer billing and supporting accounts payable operations.
• Supporting annual audits and preparing board meeting materials.

Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting, with Chartered Accountant or ACCA qualification preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in finance or audit, ideally within tech startups.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and SFRS; familiarity with Indian and German accounting standards a plus.
• Working knowledge of India’s financial and accounting standard highly preferred.
• Proven experience managing full sets of accounts and financial consolidations.
• Experience in drafting financial statements and projection modelling.
• High degree of ownership, critical thinking, and technical knowledge.
• Meticulous, analytical, and solutions-oriented.
• Proven track record in process improvements and automation.
• Experience working with decentralised, cross-functional teams will be a plus.
• Proficiency in Netsuite is an added advantage.
