Job Description
Trust Automation is seeking an Electronics Repair Technician to diagnose and repair parts and products. The Electronics Repair Technician will be responsible for diagnosing failures, determining repair pathways, and returning failed products to current or upgraded configurations. They will prioritize the safety of the technician and product.
Role Involves: - Troubleshooting analog and digital circuits
- Soldering/de-soldering surface mount and through-hole PCBAs
- Simulating part/assembly's reported failure
- Generating material requirements for troubleshooting and repair using the ERP
- Communicating repair status and issues to the RMA Supervisor
- Determining the root cause of failure and provide detailed, concise reports
- Validating the repair through functional testing using production test processes and equipment
- Recording work performed, repair status, and transactions in ERP
Requirements: - High school diploma/GED
- 4 years of experience with mechanical and/or electronics repairs
- Product return (RMA) experience
- Soldering experience, preferably under J-std guidelines
- Skilled with hand tools and electronic test equipment (includes oscilloscope, meters, function generators, power supplies)
- Competency in reading and interpretation of electronics schematics, assembly documentation, engineering drawings, etc.
- Familiarity with SSH, Telnet, and Serial communication interfaces
- Exposure to on-board programming of PAL and microcontroller type devices
- Familiarity with RS-232/485/422, USB, and Ethernet communications standards
- Working knowledge of ERP
- Exhibit proactive attitude towards upholding quality standards
