Sr. Product Manager

Job Description

Accela is seeking a Sr. Product Manager - Plan Review SME to collaborate with product and engineering teams, as well as the customer advocate council, to understand requirements and translate them into software workflows and features. This role involves overseeing the implementation of these features to meet the needs of various customer segments. The SME will also provide guidance on technical code compliance details and educate the product and engineering teams on Plan Review workflows. Furthermore, the SME will collaborate with the AI architecture team to identify workflows that can be automated or improved through the application of advanced AI technologies.

• Educating product and engineering teams on Plan Review workflows and code compliance concepts.
• Gathering requirements from stakeholders and translating them for technical teams.
• Demoing proof of concepts to customer stakeholders and gathering feedback.
• Participating in architectural discussions and providing input on UI/UX decisions.
• Tracking and overseeing the completion and quality of software workflows and features.
• Collaborating with the AI architecture team to discover solutions for automation.
• Providing technical leadership and advising on emerging workflows in construction tech.
• Educating the Sales Engineering team on new plan review features and workflows.

Requirements:

• Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Licensed Plans Examiner.
• Proven experience and deep knowledge of code compliance concepts and construction codes.
• Focus on disciplines such as electrical, plumbing, building, structural, life safety, fire, etc.
• Strong communication skills to articulate complex workflows to technical stakeholders.
• Strong presentation and demonstration skills.
