Job Description
GiveWell is seeking a Strategic Communications Manager to join their growing communications team. This role involves shaping how the world understands GiveWell's work, increasing awareness, and driving support for their recommended programs. The Strategic Communications Manager will craft clear, compelling content and ensure communications are timely, consistent, and high-quality. They will also strengthen the tools, workflows, and shared messaging that enable responsive, strategic communications across the organization.
Role involves:
- Developing messaging for initiatives and grants.
- Tailoring communications for diverse audiences.
- Crafting content for donors and internal teams.
- Generating media coverage and leading responses to media requests.
- Managing GiveWell’s presence on public channels.
- Improving communications processes and infrastructure.
Requirements:
- 6-10 years in strategic communications.
- Experience in research-driven, philanthropic, nonprofit, or policy-focused organizations.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills.
- Experience leading media relations and external engagement.
- Strong grasp of brand and voice standards.
- Experience with digital content development.
- Proven ability to collaborate across teams.
