Job Description
GitLab is seeking a Manager, Analytics Engineering to lead a team responsible for delivering robust and integrated data products. This role sits at the intersection of Business Strategy, Analytics Engineering, and Data Engineering, requiring the ability to translate business needs into data models. The Manager will lead a high-performance team, manage operational components of the Data Platform, and implement the DataOps philosophy.
Role involves:
- Managing and developing an Analytics Engineering team
- Creating data models
- Managing operational components of the Data Platform
- Implementing the DataOps philosophy
- Developing the Data Team Handbook
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in a data analytics/engineering/science role
- 2+ years of experience performing quantitative analysis
- 1+ years of experience creating dimensional models
- 1+ years of experience leading a team
- Deep understanding of SQL and relational databases (Snowflake)
