The company is seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to join its Business Banking value stream within the R&D department. The engineer will focus on creating solutions that enable banks to seamlessly service customers and employees through engaging banking experiences. Based in Poland, the role involves working on Entitlements, providing web journeys to control user access within financial institutions.
As part of the team, the Backend Engineer will contribute to new and existing functionalities, proof of concepts, and technical improvements for the Digital Banking Platform. The autonomous team manages the complete software development lifecycle, from concept to release. The engineer is expected to take ownership of their work and collaborate with architects, QA engineers, and other team members.
The company's R&D operates using the Spotify Model, organized into Value Streams, Tribes, Guilds, and Chapters. Business Banking squads follow Agile methodologies, delivering product increments in monthly releases.
Role involves:
- Contributing to new and existing functionalities
- Taking ownership of software development lifecycle
- Collaborating with architects and QA engineers
- Ensuring implementation aligns with technical vision
Requirements:
- Solid background in software development and design
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Experience with Java, Spring, Maven, CI, and CD
- Experience with microservices and cloud technologies
- Knowledge of relational databases
- Understanding of Enterprise Integration Patterns
- Willing to come to the office twice per week
