Job Description
Peregrine Technologies, backed by leading investors, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their financial operations team. The ideal candidate will maintain bookkeeping records, refine accounting processes, and ensure financial records are accurate and compliant. This role involves reconciliations, supporting Accounts Payable, assisting with month-end and quarterly closing, and identifying process improvements through technology and automation. The Staff Accountant will also provide ad hoc financial support for analyses, tax preparation, and special projects.
Role Involves:
- Maintaining bookkeeping records.
- Refining accounting processes.
- Performing reconciliations.
- Supporting Accounts Payable processes.
- Assisting with month-end and quarterly closing processes.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes.
- Providing ad hoc financial support.
Requirements:
- 2+ years experience in general ledger accounting or similar.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Experience in staff accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
- Experience managing accounts payable (AP) processes.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements.
- Exposure to startups in high-growth environments is strongly preferred.
