Senior GRC Analyst

Job Description

The Weather Company is seeking a Senior Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) Analyst to shape and maintain cybersecurity and risk management strategies. The Senior GRC Analyst will lead initiatives ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks, drive risk reduction efforts, and champion a culture of proactive security and compliance. This role involves cross-functional collaboration with IT, security, and business teams to implement controls, support audits, identify vulnerabilities, and strengthen operational resilience. The Senior GRC Analyst role involves:

• Defining internal requirements to meet regulatory compliance frameworks.
• Implementing enterprise-wide strategy and projects focused on technology risk reduction.
• Collaborating with IT and business teams on projects related to maintaining security and compliance controls.
• Identifying points of operational vulnerability and dependencies across technology services.
• Assisting in creating a culture of risk and compliance awareness through training and education.
• Performing security and compliance assessments on new and existing systems and processes.
• Supporting internal and external audit processes.
• Participating in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.

Requirements for the Senior GRC Analyst role include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in IT governance, risk management, audit, compliance, or related technology competencies.
• Experience leading large multi-stakeholder projects using tools like Jira, Smartsheet, or ServiceNow.
• Demonstrated ability to bring multiple stakeholders to agreement.
• Experience auditing, managing, or implementing risk frameworks such as CMMC, NIST, and/or SOC 2.
• Excellent understanding of the interdependencies of multiple infrastructure technical.
