Manager – Transactions

Job Description

Tandem Bank, a UK-based digital bank focused on green initiatives, is seeking a Manager for Transactions to join their Corporate Transactions team. This role, offered at either the Manager or Senior Manager level depending on experience, reports to the Managing Director Corporate Development. The successful candidate will be involved in complex loan portfolio transactions, structured finance projects, and investor engagement.

The role involves:

• Executing or supporting loan portfolio transactions.
• Developing financial models for transaction analysis.
• Preparing investment memos and marketing decks.
• Supporting transaction documentation and negotiations.
• Managing transaction workstreams across various teams.
• Engaging with investors and supporting relationship development.
• Conducting market research and providing insights on portfolio strategy.
• Supporting internal reporting and pipeline management.
• Supporting bank balance sheet and capital optimisation.

Requirements include:

• Experience in banking, structured finance, credit advisory, rating agencies, or capital markets.
• Strong financial modelling skills in Excel.
• Understanding of consumer credit, mortgage lending, or structured credit products.
• Experience supporting transaction processes.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Understanding of prudential regulations (or willingness to learn).
• Organised, commercially aware, and self-starter mindset.
