Job Description
iCapital is seeking an Internal Alternative Investment Sales Specialist to support the distribution partnership with a major wealth management client. The role involves working with advisors, bankers, investment counselors, and third-party managers to increase alternative investment adoption. The Internal Sales Specialist will report to the regional team lead for North America and Latin America.Responsibilities include:
- Serving as the primary contact for sales and service inquiries.
- Generating alternative investment product sales in partnership with external sales partners.
- Becoming an expert on alternative investments and promoting their adoption.
- Traveling within the coverage territory as requested.
- Collaborating with the client's Alternative Investments team on new fund launches.
- Partnering with asset management firms to raise capital.
- Maintaining CRM records of activity, advisor profiles, and pipeline capture.
Qualifications include:
- 5+ years of experience in the alternative investment industry in a client-facing role.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
- Strong sales and support skills for hedge fund, private equity, private credit, and real asset offerings.
- CFA and CAIA charter holders are preferred.
- Must obtain CAIA within 3 years of hire.
- Series 7 & 63 licenses are required.
