The company is seeking a Junior Backend Engineer to join their Product team in the Business Banking value stream within the R&D department. The engineer will focus on creating solutions that allow banks to seamlessly service customers and employees by crafting memorable and engaging banking experiences. This role offers the chance to contribute to the creation of end-to-end digital processes powered by flow engines and pre-built connectors. The engineer will be part of an autonomous team, responsible for the entire software development lifecycle. The R&D way of working is inspired by the Spotify Model, with Agile squads delivering product increments in monthly releases.

Role Involves:

  • Contributing to new and existing functionalities.
  • Developing proof of concepts.
  • Implementing technical improvements in the Digital Banking Platform.
  • Working on Entitlements, controlling user access for financial institution employees and customers.

Requirements:

  • Solid background in software development including design.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Product company and Agile environment.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, spoken and written.
  • Experience with Java, Spring, Maven, CI/CD (GHA, Jenkins).
  • Experience with microservices (Netflix OSS is a plus).
  • Experience with Cloud and traditional application servers (WebSphere, JBoss, …).
  • Knowledge of relational databases.
  • Experience with non-functionals such as performance, scalability, security.
  • Living in Kraków or nearby area and willingness to come to the office twice per week.
