Mental Health Therapist, Full-time

Job Description

Valera Health is seeking a full-time Mental Health Therapist to join their team and provide compassionate mental health care through tele-health. The therapist will be responsible for rendering evidence-based therapeutic treatment to patients, conducting intakes, and providing mental health assessments, counseling, referrals, and intervention services. They will also be responsible for completing and maintaining documentation in a timely and accurate manner.Valera Health is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive team.Responsibilities:

• Rendering evidence–based therapeutic treatment to patients
• Providing an array of mental health services to promote individualized patient recovery primarily through tele-health video or telephone
• Conducting intakes, individual, group, and family therapy when applicable
• Providing mental health assessments, counseling, referrals, and intervention services
• Completing and maintaining documentation in a timely and accurate manner and according to Federal, State and company guidelines

Requirements:

• Active LCSW license
• 1 year of demonstrated psychotherapy experience using evidence-based treatment
• 1 year of experience with documenting and treatment planning within an EMR
• Access to a computer, webcam, reliable internet connection and private, quiet space for sessions
• Bilingual in Spanish or Chinese (Preferred)
• Prior tele-health or remote experience (Preferred)
• Reliable self-starter who is able to work independently and also as part of a team
• Strong engagement and assessment skills to work with a diverse range of patients
