Sr. Prototype Driver, Vehicle Test

Job Description

Lucid Motors is seeking a Sr. Prototype Driver to join their Vehicle Test team in Wittmann, AZ. This role involves precision test driving of prototype vehicles under normal driving conditions, following detailed test plans on various public and private roads. The driver will evaluate vehicle performance in real-world scenarios, conduct safety inspections, perform specialized test procedures, and document findings in driver reports. The ideal candidate will provide valuable feedback to the engineering team to advance cutting-edge technology.Role involves:

• Test driving prototype vehicles on public and private roads
• Evaluating vehicle performance in real-world driving situations
• Conducting safety inspections and performing specialized test procedures
• Documenting findings in driver reports
• Recreating driving scenarios in controlled and field tests
• Performing vehicle checks and maintenance
• Manual data collection and driving, including mapping drives and data verification

Requirements:

• Previous, proven, documented professional driving or testing experience
• Valid US driver's license with at least 10 years of driving experience and a clean driving record
• Ability to demonstrate safe driving in all weather conditions
• Ability to drive for prolonged periods routinely exceeding eight or more hours
• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and possible overtime
• Good vision, hearing, and motor skills
• Proficient computer skills and ability to operate GPS
• Exceptional ability and desire to learn new skills and tools
• Ability to apply oneself in new problems in a dynamic lean start-up environment
• AA/AS degree or equivalent skills
