Virtualization Backup Engineer (Early Shift)

Job Description

Veeam, the leading data resilience provider, is seeking a Virtualization Backup Engineer to join their team in Bangalore, India. This role involves providing technical assistance to IT professionals, troubleshooting technical issues related to Veeam Backup and Replication, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The engineer will work an early shift (5 AM - 2 PM IST) and will be based in Bangalore, India, with a WFH arrangement.Responsibilities:

• Performing troubleshooting and analysis, including log file investigation
• Acting as a technical focal point in relationships to fellow IT Professionals
• Taking ownership of the customer problem or issue from the beginning of a support case through resolution
• Documenting of all customer interactions accurately and within SLA in our CRM tool

Requirements:

• Fluent English (reading/writing/speaking)
• Advanced user or administrative level with Windows OS 2008(r2)/2012(r2)/2016
• Practical knowledge of TCP/IP and networking configuration/troubleshooting
• Knowledge of UNIX and/or Linux, VMware ESX(i), Microsoft Hyper-V, Microsoft Exchange server administration, DataBase engines (SQL/Oracle) is a plus
• Ability to quickly learn, understand and explain technical information
• Ability and desire to take ownership of client issues through resolution
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
