Business Analyst (Capital Markets, Finance & Treasury) - (Hybrid - Toronto)

Job Description

Capco is seeking a Business Analyst to join their team in Toronto. The ideal candidate will have experience in Capital Markets, Finance, and Treasury, and will be able to work in a hybrid environment. The Business Analyst will be responsible for working directly with clients on mission-critical projects, establishing collaborative relationships with stakeholders, and driving teams toward value-driven solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Independently establish collaborative relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
• Lead and manage requirement solicitation and documentation activities.
• Demonstrate project delivery success within Capital Markets.
• Create presentations for executive audiences.
• Develop and maintain trade flow diagrams using Microsoft Visio.
• Manage project deliverables end-to-end.
• Document meeting minutes and action items.
• Utilize JIRA and Confluence to support Agile ceremonies.
• Partner with clients to define strategic roadmaps.
• Provide subject matter expertise on capital markets trends.
• Contribute to shaping and executing complex digital transformations.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of Business Analysis experience in Financial Services, with emphasis on Capital Markets.
• Deep expertise in finance & treasury function.
• Exceptional organizational skills.
• Strong capability in building Business Cases and conducting gap analyses.
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
• Skilled in creating EPICs and writing user stories.
• Demonstrated ability to facilitate workshops and engage stakeholders independently.
• Experience with Microsoft Visio.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to pivot into related roles such as Product Owner.
• Creative problem-solver with a proactive mindset.
• Exhibit flexibility in working hours, including participation in early morning meetings starting at 7:00–7:30 AM EST.
