Senior SQL Developer - Snowflake

Kunai is seeking a Senior SQL Developer with Snowflake experience to build a modern enterprise data platform. The role involves driving efficiency and problem-solving in Snowflake usage, optimizing workloads, and communicating with users on optimization strategies. The candidate will be at the forefront of building a modern enterprise data platform that powers over $60 billion in annual transaction volume for over 100 million active payment cards for one of the largest credit card issuers in the world.

Role involves:

• Working with ETL pipelines
• Data warehousing
• Query optimization
• Mentoring other engineers
• Code reviews/ paired programming in SQL

Requirements:

• Minimum of 6 years as an engineer working with ETL pipelines, data warehousing, and query optimization
• A history of mentoring other engineers and code reviews/ paired programming in SQL
• Enterprise-level experience working in Snowflake
• Extensive knowledge of AWS serverless environments
• Understanding of microservices architecture principles, cache, and event streaming
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field
