Job Description
Centria Health is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavioral Health Technician to work one-on-one with children and families affected by autism in Centreville, Virginia. The Behavioral Health Technician will implement learning programs, collect data on target behaviors, communicate with stakeholders, maintain client confidentiality, and regularly meet with their direct leader. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children within a family-home environment, with assignments located within 15 minutes of the employee's residence.Role involves:
- Adapting teaching techniques to various physical and mental behaviors.
- Providing one-on-one developmental and behavioral support.
- Partnering with a Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized behavioral intervention plans.
- Engaging actively with children through physical activities.
Requirements:
- A passion for helping children with autism.
- Patience and compassion with the ability to work well in a team environment.
- A high school diploma or GED and at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
- A minimum of one year experience working with children ages 0-18 in a daycare, classroom setting preferred.
- A minimum of one year experience working one-on-one with clients in a behavioral health environment preferred.
