Job Description
Centria Health is seeking a compassionate Behavioral Health Technician in Schertz, Texas, to provide one-on-one support to children with autism in their homes. The Behavioral Health Technician will implement learning programs, collect data, and communicate with stakeholders, all while maintaining client confidentiality. This role offers a flexible schedule of 15-20 hours per week and assignments within 15 minutes of the employee's residence.
The role involves:
- Adapting teaching techniques to various physical and mental behaviors.
- Partnering with a Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized behavioral intervention plans.
- Engaging in physical activities with children, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Centria Health is looking for someone who has:
- A passion for helping children with autism.
- Patience and compassion.
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
- One year experience working with children ages 0-18 in a daycare, classroom setting preferred.
- One year experience working one-on-one with clients in a behavioral health environment preferred.
