Job Description
Centria Autism is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to positively impact children with autism. The Behavior Technician will work directly with children, implementing personalized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a BCBA. They will employ evidence-based techniques to improve communication, social skills, and daily living skills, while also addressing challenging behaviors. This role requires patience, compassion, and teamwork.Role involves:
- Implementing individualized behavior intervention plans
- Teaching communication, social, and daily living skills
- Reducing interfering behaviors
- Working one-on-one with children
Requirements:
- Passionate about helping children with autism
- Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team
- 18+ years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification and Tuberculosis test
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
- Ability to move in various positions and lift up to 50 pounds
