Job Description
Centria Autism is seeking a Behavior Technician to work one-on-one with children with autism in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The Behavior Technician will implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), using evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors. The ideal candidate will be passionate, patient, and able to work well in a team environment. This role requires physical stamina, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move in various positions.
Role Involves: - Implementing individualized behavior intervention plans
- Teaching communication, social, and daily living skills
- Reducing interfering behaviors
- Working under the guidance of a BCBA
Requirements: - Passionate about helping children with autism
- Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team
- 18+ years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
- Ability to move in various positions and lift up to 50 pounds
