Behavior Technician

Job Description

Centria Autism is seeking a Behavior Technician to work one-on-one with children with autism in Falls Church, Virginia. The Behavior Technician will implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This role involves using evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors. The ideal candidate will be passionate, patient, and able to work well in a team environment.

Role Involves:
• Implementing individualized behavior intervention plans
• Teaching communication, social, and daily living skills
• Reducing interfering behaviors
• Working one-on-one with children

Requirements:
• Passionate about helping children with autism
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team
• 18+ years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification, and Tuberculosis test
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squad, bend, etc.)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Registered Behavior Technician Certification required within 45 days of completing onboarding requirements
