Job Description
Centria Autism is seeking a Behavior Technician to work one-on-one with children with autism in Prince George, Virginia. The Behavior Technician will implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This role involves using evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors. The ideal candidate will be passionate, patient, and able to work well in a team.
Role involves:
- Implementing individualized behavior intervention plans.
- Teaching communication, social, and daily living skills.
- Reducing interfering behaviors.
- Working one-on-one with children.
Requirements:
- Passionate about helping children with autism.
- Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
- Must be 18+ years of age.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test.
- Ability to pass a pre employment background check.
- Ability to move in various positions (sit, squad, bend, etc.).
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Registered Behavior Technician Certification required within 45 days of completing onboarding requirements.
