Job Description
Centria Autism is seeking a Behavior Technician to work one-on-one with children with autism, implementing behavior intervention plans. The Behavior Technician will utilize evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills, while also reducing interfering behaviors. This role requires patience, compassion, and the ability to work well within a team. The Behavior Technician must be comfortable with the physical demands of working with children. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and their families.
- Implementing individualized behavior intervention plans
- Teaching communication, social, and daily living skills
- Reducing interfering behaviors
- Working under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Requirements: - Passionate about helping children with autism
- Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team
- 18+ years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification, and Tuberculosis test
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
- Ability to move in various positions (sit, squad, bend, etc.)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Registered Behavior Technician Certification required within 45 days of completing onboarding requirements
