Job Description
Centria Autism is seeking a Behavior Technician to work one-on-one with children with autism, implementing behavior intervention plans. The Behavior Technician will use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors. This role requires patience, compassion, and the ability to work well in a team environment. The Behavior Technician must be comfortable with physical activity, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
Role Involves:
- Implementing individualized behavior intervention plans.
- Teaching communication, social, and daily living skills.
- Reducing interfering behaviors.
- Working under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Requirements:
- Passionate about helping children with autism.
- Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
- 18+ years of age.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
- Ability to move in various positions (sit, squad, bend, etc.).
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
