Job Description
Life Skills Autism Academy is seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician to support children on the Autism Spectrum. The Behavior Technician will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy in a 1:1 setting. This role focuses on enhancing critical developmental skills, including language, communication, social skills, and school readiness.Role responsibilities include:
- Providing direct client care in 1:1 and group settings.
- Following prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols.
- Collecting and summarizing data on client behavior.
- Assisting with parent and caregiver training.
- Ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
- Communicating client progress to parents and caregivers.
- Maintaining a safe and organized therapy environment.
Requirements:
- Must hold or be willing to obtain Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification.
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting up to 50lbs.
- Professional presentation and conduct.
- Patience and emotional control.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
