Job Description
Life Skills Autism Academy is seeking a Behavior Technician to aid in the development of children on the Autism Spectrum. The Behavior Technician will provide ABA therapy in a 1:1 setting under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. This role focuses on increasing critical developmental skills such as language, communication, social skills, and school readiness behaviors.
Responsibilities include: - Providing direct client care in 1:1 and group settings.
- Following prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols.
- Collecting and summarizing data on client behavior.
- Assisting with parent and caregiver training.
- Ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
- Communicating client progress to parents and caregivers.
- Maintaining a safe and organized therapy environment.
- Assisting in the preparation of client materials and assessments.
Requirements: - Must hold and maintain current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or be willing to complete a 40 hour training course and sit for their RBT competency exam within 45 days of employment.
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
- Reliable transportation.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification and a TB test.
- Ability to physically perform the job, including lifting up to 50lbs.
