Job Description
Centria Autism is seeking enthusiastic individuals for the role of Behavior Technician in Albany, Oregon. This role offers the opportunity to positively impact the lives of children with autism by implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a BCBA. The Behavior Technician will utilize evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills, while also working to reduce interfering behaviors. This position requires patience, compassion, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
Role Involves:
- Working one-on-one with children with autism.
- Implementing individualized behavior intervention plans.
- Teaching communication, social, and daily living skills.
- Reducing interfering behaviors.
Requirements:
- Passionate about helping children with autism.
- Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
- 18+ years of age.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification and Tuberculosis test.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
- Ability to move in various positions (sit, squad, bend, etc.).
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
