Job Description
Life Skills Autism Academy is seeking a Spanish Speaking Center-Based Behavior Technician to aid in the development of children on the Autism Spectrum. The Behavior Technician will provide ABA therapy in a 1:1 setting under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. This role focuses on increasing critical developmental skills such as language, communication, social skills, and school readiness behaviors.Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings.
  • Follow behavior skill acquisition and reduction protocols.
  • Collect and summarize data on client behavior.
  • Assist with parent and caregiver training.
  • Ensure timely documentation.
  • Communicate client progress to parents and caregivers.
  • Maintain a clean and safe therapy environment.
  • Assist in preparing client materials and assessments.
Requirements:
  • Must hold and maintain current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or be willing to complete a 40 hour training course and sit for their RBT competency exam within 45 days of employment.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification and TB test.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and physically engage with clients.
  • Professional presentation and conduct.
  • Patience and emotional control.
  • Positive attitude and strong attention to detail.
  • Strong technology skills and communication skills.
  • Strong cultural competency.
