Job Description
Life Skills Autism Academy is seeking a Spanish Speaking Center-Based Behavior Technician to aid in the development of children on the Autism Spectrum. The Behavior Technician will provide ABA therapy in a 1:1 setting under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. This role focuses on increasing critical developmental skills such as language, communication, social skills, and school readiness behaviors.
Responsibilities: - Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings.
- Follow behavior skill acquisition and reduction protocols.
- Collect and summarize data on client behavior.
- Assist with parent and caregiver training.
- Ensure timely documentation.
- Communicate client progress to parents and caregivers.
- Maintain a clean and safe therapy environment.
- Assist in preparing client materials and assessments.
Requirements: - Must hold and maintain current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or be willing to complete a 40 hour training course and sit for their RBT competency exam within 45 days of employment.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Reliable transportation.
- Willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification and TB test.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and physically engage with clients.
- Professional presentation and conduct.
- Patience and emotional control.
- Positive attitude and strong attention to detail.
- Strong technology skills and communication skills.
- Strong cultural competency.
