Job Description
Corelight is seeking a Payroll Manager to lead its global payroll function. The Payroll Manager will oversee payroll operations via third-party payroll providers, EOR partners, and outsourced firms. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of both U.S. and international payroll practices.
Role involves:
- Overseeing end-to-end payroll operations across multiple countries.
- Administering U.S. payroll through Paylocity.
- Managing all aspects of 401(k) and workers’ compensation audits.
- Ensuring correct taxation and reporting of equity compensation.
- Partnering with Finance and HR teams to reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts in NetSuite.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of international payroll regulations and U.S. tax compliance.
- Resolving payroll discrepancies and responding to employee queries.
- Implementing process improvements to enhance payroll operations.
- Supporting Accounting in month-end close duties related to Payroll.
- Maintaining accurate payroll records and documentation.
- Working closely with HR and Finance to coordinate employee benefits, bonuses, and deductions.
- Processing year-end reports including W-2s, 1099s, and other required tax filings.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of payroll experience, including international payroll and working with EORs and third-party payroll providers.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. federal and state payroll tax laws, including those related to equity transactions.
- Proven experience leading 401(k) and workers’ compensation audits.
- Hands-on experience with Paylocity, Fidelity, and NetSuite.
- Experience managing payroll in a high-growth, multi-jurisdictional environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field; CPP certification is a plus.
