Engineering Lead

Creditas, a leading financial services platform in Latin America, is seeking an experienced Engineering Lead to join their team in São Paulo, Brazil. This role involves leading a development team, ensuring alignment between deliveries, projects, and business unit needs. The Engineering Lead will drive efforts to meet key objectives, ensure quality, and secure team deliveries.

The Engineering Lead will report status of initiatives and updates to different hierarchical levels, ensuring visibility on evolutions, impediments and action plans.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading the development team and ensuring alignment between deliveries, projects, and business unit needs.
• Directing efforts to meet key objectives, ensuring quality, and securing team deliveries.
• Ensuring the roadmap is followed, identifying and resolving impediments quickly.
• Conducting agile ceremonies and necessary rituals to maintain delivery cadence.
• Understanding the customer/user perspective and ensuring problems are addressed effectively.
• Monitoring and improving metrics such as recovery time, lead time, productivity, efficiency, and team effectiveness.
• Supporting the Manager in hiring, promotions, salary movements, etc.
• Reporting status of initiatives and updates to different hierarchical levels, ensuring visibility on evolutions, impediments, and action plans.
• Developing soft and hard skills of the team and leading knowledge management practices.
• Suggesting appropriate team training with a focus on technical capabilities and engagement.
• Managing conflicts assertively, ensuring team harmony and continuity of deliveries.
• Working in an agile, metrics-driven, and results-oriented environment.

Requirements:

• Experience as a software engineer with an understanding of the main difficulties faced by developers in the development cycle.
• Solid experience in technical leadership, with a focus on managing software development teams, preferably in agile teams.
• Experience in coordinating complex projects, with system integration and technological evolution.
• Experience in people management (Feedbacks, Performance, 1:1, PDI, succession planning, etc.).
• Experience with metrics such as recovery time, lead time, productivity, efficiency, and team effectiveness.
• Skills in stakeholder and supplier management.
• Knowledge of Architecture Design to contribute to the team's technical decisions.
• Knowledge of product development (Roadmap Construction, Outcomes, OKRs and KPIs, delivery oriented to problem solving and impact).
• Knowledge of modern technologies such as Cloud Computing (AWS, CGP, Azure..).
• Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD).
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and performance metric tracking.
