Senior Platform Engineer

Job Description

Playlist is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join their team. In this role, the individual will be responsible for designing, building, and operating distributed systems at a large scale in cloud environments. The ideal candidate will be collaborative, iterative, and value simplicity.

• Use existing commercial and open source tools to create and maintain a robust, reliable, and performant platform.
• Build DevOps tooling and processes to increase overall engineering velocity.
• Write clear and concise technical design documents and gather feedback from your team and the broader engineering organization
• Seek different perspectives, and solicit honest feedback

Requirements:

• Experience with Infrastructure as code, preferably Terraform
• Experience with Cloud Computing management, preferably AWS
• Experience with Build Pipeline Management, GitHub Actions a plus
• Proficiency in Python/boto3
• Experience with Docker
• Experience with PostgreSQL
• Experience with Datadog
• Experience with ETL, Airflow a plus
• Understanding of reliability and microservice monitoring best practices
