Lush is seeking a Manager in Training to support the Store Manager in ensuring a strong customer and staff experience, operational excellence, and exceeding sales goals. This role involves embodying Lush's Leadership Practices and contributing to various aspects of the business.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with the team to exceed daily sales goals and ensure a unique and inclusive customer experience.
- Educating customers and staff on brand values.
- Increasing product knowledge and making informed recommendations.
- Demonstrating business acumen and understanding of metrics, budgets, and reports.
- Supporting the team on the sales floor, answering questions, and motivating them.
- Owning personal development and supporting the growth of the team.
- Ensuring the team is inspired, motivated, and building strong relationships.
- Supporting the staffing of the shop with top-performing staff.
- Collaborating on plans to improve staff engagement, retention, and DEIB practices.
- Supporting the manager to keep the shop compliant with company standards.
- Supporting the training of the inventory team and managing ordering.
- Supporting the development of the team to maintain a clean and beautiful work environment.
- Ensuring the right number of staff are scheduled at peak times.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of managing or supervising in a retail environment
- Excellent listening and communication skills
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Strong customer service, supervisory, and sales skills
- Knowledge and interest in skincare, natural beauty, and ethical business
- Ability to work flexible hours
