Job Description
The National Football League (NFL) is seeking a Senior Manager, Marketing for a 12-month contract role in Toronto. This role is responsible for leading the strategy, planning, and execution of the NFL's digital marketing efforts in Canada. The Senior Manager will report to the Director, Marketing and Fan Development, and will hold budget responsibility for digital marketing and manage a team.
Role involves:
- Leading digital marketing plans to drive fan recruitment and engagement.
- Defining and refining the organic NFL Canada social media strategy.
- Developing a content roadmap across key tentpoles and local initiatives.
- Overseeing paid media investments and agency management.
- Leading CRM & Database marketing efforts.
- Overseeing the creation and management of Canadian NFL webpages.
- Staying up to date on emerging trends in digital communications.
- Supporting Consumer Products, Corporate Sponsorship, and other departments on digital marketing planning.
- Collaborating with Player Marketing and Influencers to maximize content development.
- Developing short- and long-term strategy and roadmaps.
- Conducting market research and analyzing competitive landscapes.
- Tracking and analyzing key performance indicators.
- Planning and collaborating on the marketing calendar.
- Refining weekly tune-in strategy and content development.
- Providing strategic and executional support to media partners.
- Ensuring consistent brand identity and messaging.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in strategy, consumer marketing, and/or digital.
- 2+ years of team management experience.
- Proven track record of generating breakthrough strategies.
- A deep understanding of the business of sport, the media landscape and consumer trends.
- Strong entrepreneurial approach to business.
- Self-starter with a proactive approach.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects.
- Experience operating in a matrixed organization.
