Senior Solution Architect

Job Description

A Solution Architect role is available at a company located in Atlanta, Georgia. The Solution Architect will ascertain that envisaged solutions become reality. He will be part of the development team in which he will fulfill a leading role only gained by excellent performance. He will translate customer requirements into a distinguished design and dedicate himself to security, deployment, performance, caching, sizing, scalability and serviceability.

The Solution Architect provides guidance and oversight to the team. He will also create technical architecture documentation, work with the QA lead to define the test strategy, lead DevOps to define and implement CI/CD pipelines, and ensure that implementations meet non-functional requirements. The role involves significant travel for on-site work during the inception phase and for providing training and workshops.

Role Involves:

• Translate customer requirements into a distinguished design.
• Dedicate to security, deployment, performance, caching, sizing, scalability and serviceability.
• Create technical architecture documentation.
• Work with the QA lead to define the test strategy.
• Lead DevOps to define and implement CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure that implementations meet non-functional requirements.
• Travel a significant amount of time, spending time on-site during the inception phase and when providing training and workshops.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of the Java platform.
• Experience in Spring, Maven and Jenkins.
• Understanding of Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) and Micro-Services Architecture.
• Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks, MVC patterns and principles of REST APIs, ideally including RAML and/or OpenAPI.
• Knowledge and best practices of architectural frameworks.
• Professional experience with Enterprise Integration Patterns and Frameworks.
• Operational knowledge of application servers, databases, load balancers and other infrastructure components required to deploy web applications.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in both English and French.
