Job Description
ShipBob is seeking a Software Development Engineer II - Full Stack to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development of production level software in coordination with their team, working closely with Product Owners and the Engineering Manager.Role involves:
  • Becoming a go-to expert in one area of the codebase.
  • Providing technical advice and weighing in on technical decisions.
  • Researching and proposing new technologies.
  • Scoping and staging work into well-defined milestones.
  • Delivering software on time and making accurate estimates.
  • Owning the technical testing and performance plan for projects.
  • Identifying and solving important problems.
  • Influencing decision-making at the Pillar level.
  • Identifying and proactively tackling technical debt.
  • Making others better through code reviews and mentoring.
  • Providing feedback on projects outside of their core area.
  • Leading to solutions that take technical, analytical, and product needs into account.
  • Proposing strategies around technical problems affecting their team.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience.
  • Excellent problem-solving, programming, and communication skills.
  • Object-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work quickly and collaboratively.
  • Hands-on coding approach to engineering mentorship.
  • Knowledge of SQL, JSON, REST, .NET, C#, ASP.NET MVC, Javascript.
  • Understanding of Relational DB Concepts and Design.
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
