Director of Security Engineering

Tide, a business management platform for small businesses, is seeking a Director of Security Engineering. This role is a pivotal leadership position within Tide's "first line" of defense, responsible for defining and shaping the company's overall security posture and technical strategy. The Director will drive excellence and continuous improvement across various security and IT engineering teams.

The Director of Security Engineering will provide visionary technical leadership and strategic direction for all security engineering and IT operations, ensuring alignment with Tide's growth and security objectives. They will lead and empower a diverse team of engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing technical leadership for security engineering and IT operations.
• Leading and growing a team of security and IT engineers.
• Driving the design and implementation of advanced security solutions.
• Championing an engineering mindset across security and IT challenges.
• Overseeing the design and operation of secure systems within a zero-trust network architecture.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams and communicating technical concepts.
• Leading the restructuring and integration of security, IT, and Tech Ops teams.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience leading security and IT engineering teams.
• Demonstrated ability to engineer and implement robust security policies and solutions.
• A deep engineering approach to solving complex security problems.
