Product Design Manager

Job Description

Tide is seeking a Product Design Manager to join their team and contribute to their mission of empowering small businesses. The Product Design Manager will collaborate with Product Managers, Technical Owners, and senior stakeholders to define strategic objectives and goals within a domain area.

The role involves identifying and prioritizing product roadmap initiatives, de-risking initiatives through research and collaboration, and defining success metrics. The Product Design Manager will also drive the implementation of strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with the vision and delivering value to members.

The Product Design Manager will champion Design practices, promote Design thinking, and showcase the team's achievements. They will also lead and mentor a team of Product Designers, providing inspiration, support, and career development opportunities.

What this role involves:

• Identifying and prioritizing product roadmap initiatives.
• De-risking initiatives through research and collaboration.
• Defining success metrics and expected impact.
• Driving the implementation of strategic initiatives.
• Championing Design practices and promoting Design thinking.
• Leading and mentoring a team of Product Designers.

Requirements:

• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in UX Design or Product Design.
• Experience in a SaaS company.
• Experience leading a Product Design Squad.
• In-depth knowledge of Product Design methodologies.
• Ability to simplify objectives and projects.
• Proficiency in leading design reviews and using design tools like Figma.
• Experience in user testing and research methodologies.
• Experience working in an agile scale-up environment.
• Data-driven approach with experience using tools like Looker, Heap, GA, or Hotjar.
