Job Description
Zscaler is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager, Procurement to join their Procurement team. This role is based in Bangalore and involves executing a global procurement strategy for IT equipment, including servers, networking gear, colocation, and bandwidth. The Assistant Manager will report to the Manager - Procurement and will collaborate with Cloud Operations, Engineering, and Legal teams to understand requirements and ensure contract compliance.

Role involves:
  • Managing supplier negotiations, pricing, availability, and performance.
  • Conducting market research and benchmarking.
  • Maintaining clear documentation of end-user needs.
  • Developing a segmented supplier base.
  • Keeping stakeholders informed of risks and supply issues.

Requirements:
  • 6-8 years of hands-on working experience in IT procurement.
  • Experience with Cloud operations, IAAS and PAAS.
  • Experience building relationships with ISP and colocation service providers.
  • Strong day-to-day project management skills.
