Job Description
WellPower is seeking a Residential Counselor to join their team in Denver. This role involves working with consumers on activities of daily living, facilitating group therapy, managing intakes/discharges, monitoring medications, and creating a safe environment. The Residential Counselor will also coordinate treatment and advocate for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. This position offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on the lives of individuals in the community.
Role Involves:
- Providing individual psychotherapy
- Facilitating group sessions
- Coordinating clinical care
- Assessing consumers and providing interventions
- Encouraging and training consumers in ADLs
- Completing intake and discharge tasks
- Maintaining household safety
- Documenting consumer interactions
- Responding to emergencies
Requirements:
- RC I: Actively enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in a related field.
- RC II: Bachelor's Degree in social work, psychology, human services, or related field.
- QMAP certification
- CPR & First Aid certification
- Physical required
- One year of mental health experience preferred
- Must be 20 years of age
