Freelance Subtitler – German

Job Description

Beast Industries, founded by MrBeast, seeks a Freelance Subtitler to create German subtitles for original English content. The role involves making content accessible to German-speaking audiences through accurate and culturally relevant subtitles.The Freelance Subtitler will report to a German Language Coordinator and collaborate with studio partners. They will handle all steps of the subtitling process, from creation to delivery, ensuring linguistic accuracy and cultural appropriateness. The role also includes translating video titles and descriptions and building familiarity with the dubbing process.Responsibilities:

• Create subtitles in German, ensuring linguistic accuracy and cultural appropriateness.
• Implement feedback from the Language Coordinator.
• Meet tight deadlines while subtitling multiple projects.
• Assist in creating localized metadata for regional audiences.
• Maintain clear and timely communication with the Language Coordinator and studio partners.
• Build familiarity with the Beast brand.

Requirements:

• Native German speaker.
• C1+ level English proficiency.
• 1-3 years of experience with subtitling, translation, or dubbing.
• Passion for the German language and culture.
• Organized and adaptable to changes in project schedule.
• Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
